Tuesday, July 21st, 2009

Shopping, Traveling, Entertaining, Oh My!! SUMMER HAS YOU STRESSED?!

Please join instructor June Hunt for a Yoga Workshop on Systematic Relaxation.

Wednesday, August 26
Time: 6:30 PM, Workshop is approximately 90 min.
Cost: $25.
Advanced Registration is Required.

Systematic Relaxation is a time tested technique for reducing fatigue and maintaining good health. Whenever you feel tired, distracted, or unable to focus, relaxation can help in restoring a sense of peace and harmony.

During this workshop we will explore three main components: breath training, asana, and relaxation techniques. Asana and breath training focus on healing the body and nervous system. Calming the senses and the mind is achieved through relaxation. Yoga relaxation exercises revive your confidence and reawaken a sense of well being. Students will leave with the ability to apply these techniques in their life “off the mat”.

The workshop will last approximately ninety minutes and include twenty minutes dedicated to breath and centering, thirty minutes of warm-up and asana, and two separate relaxation periods.
