Yin Yoga For All Levels with Sam Barrett
Yin Yoga is a quiet practice featuring long-held passive postures. During this all-levels class in the peaceful outdoor sculpture courtyard at the Michener, students will hold grounding poses to hydrate fascia and explore meditative states. Yin Yoga blends Taoist philosophy with Hatha Yoga to balance the flow of energy through the bodymind. Please bring your own mat and blanket.
Wednesday, September 23
9:00AM – 10:00AM
Gentle Yoga For All Levels with Joe Simek
This gentle yoga practice will combine poses and breath to allow students to improve mobility and access more restful states of both body and mind. In addition to a movement practice, students will explore breathing techniques and micro-meditations. Connect with your community in the Michener’s beautiful courtyard for this tranquil and healing practice. Please bring your own mat and blanket.
This class is limited to 12 individual participants.
Each participant will be allotted a 10 ft x 10 ft space to practice in our outdoor courtyard. Spots are first come, first serve. However, the instructor will have a microphone, so there won’t be any bad spots!
Participants will check in at the main entrance of the Museum from 8:45 – 9:05
Participants will be required to wear face masks everywhere on Museum grounds except on their own yoga mat
Participants will have access to Museum restrooms but must wear masks
Anyone who is not feeling well should please stay at home; we will be prohibiting symptomatic visitors from entering
