yogamonthlotusprojectbookSeptember is National Yoga Month, as well as the year anniversary of Dragonfly moving to our Green Street location. We’re celebrating with an open house on Saturday, September 28, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m!

We’ll also be celebrating the release of: The Lotus Project: The Art of Being a Woman by Lyn Hicks. Lyn is a local author and friend of the studio. She will be signing copies of her book and discussing her many projects, including Harmony Hill Gardens.

If you’re new to Dragonfly or new to yoga, the open house will be your chance for FREE YOGA! We’ll be giving free yoga classes to new students who sign up for our mailing list at the open house.

In addition, we’ll be giving away door prizes to a few lucky winners (no purchase necessary). Prizes include:

5-pack of yoga classes
30-minute reflexology session

About Lyn Hicks

Lyn_Lotus252Lyn Hicks is a practical educator of health, wellbeing and green living for a thriving life of vitality. She is trained in the oral tradition of Dragon Gate Tia Chi Chuan, Raja Yoga from the Northern Gate of the Himalayans and Sacred Femininity of Ancient Cultures through traveling masters at retreats on her farm. She offers simple easy ways to connect with your body for health awareness, working to activate and support the body’s natural intelligence and awaken the intuition. She shares her yoga of living on her organic flower farm in Pennsylvania. A love of nature, beauty and grace inspires Lyn to share the power of feminine essence with other woman. After doing this herself, it became natural to share with others through writing, videos and classes and retreats at her farm. Her passion is to use collaborative feminine power to strengthen and to change the world into a more nourished placed. Passionate about health and wellness, nature, spirituality and alternative medicine, Lyn has found great learning and healing in this life study. Through her own efforts to seek the simplest, easiest health and vitality movements to promote a sound body for herself, she has learned great wisdom and continues in this.
