What is a Wellness Staycation? Simply put, it’s the retreat you need without the travel, focusing on your health and wellness!
For each staycation, we open up Dragonfly Yoga Studio for a day-long retreat! We’ll begin the day with an 1-hour group yoga class. We’ll break for a gluten-free vegetarian lunch, before moving into our private sessions (listed below). During our day, we’ll have a break for smoothies, juices, tea and snacks. You’ll also be welcome to stay for our regularly scheduled Pranayama & Meditation class at 5:30 p.m. (no additional cost.)

Yoga instruction with Alexis Ridge-Simek, owner of Dragonfly Yoga
Building on the group class, your time with Alexis will be spent on YOUR yoga practice. Great for beginners and advanced yogis, this session will be an opportunity to discuss things like past injuries, where you want to add strength or flexibility, or your general goals for your practice. You’ll have time to dissect your most challenging asanas (postures) or simply learn a personalized asana sequence to do at home.
Reflexology with Dragonfly Massage
In this session, you’ll enjoy the many benefits of Reflexology, a specialized foot massage! Reflexology is the practice of stimulating points on the feet (termed reflex zones) in order to have a beneficial effect on other parts of the body. When the reflexologist applies pressure to these points, it stimulates the body’s own natural healing process. The body starts progressively clearing blockages, re-establishing energy flows and balancing itself, resulting in better health. It also feels wonderful!
Herbal Therapy with Linda Shanahan, Registered Nurse and Herbalist, of Barefoot Botanicals
In your session with Linda Shanahan, Registered Nurse, Herbalist, and owner of Barefoot Botanicals, you’ll be introduced to the healing and relaxing aspects of herbal therapy. Pulling from her large herbal apothecary located at Dragonfly, Linda will talk with you about what herbs can help with your general wellness. Together you’ll create your own relaxing herbal tea blend to take home!
Reiki Session with Valarie Haag of Rainbows Of Healing
Relax, Unwind, and use this time for just you! Reiki is a gentle and ancient healing practice that reduces stress and brings balance to your system. A Reiki treatment helps ease anxiety, relieve pain, release stress, improves sleep, and more. Valarie will work to balance your chakras and give you feedback at the close.
Private Sound Healing Session with Ian Haag of Rainbows Of Healing:
The session begins with a combination of focused dialog and an intuitive reading that helps to identify the core of your particular patterns and create a powerful intention to support your deepest good. You then lie fully clothed, and experience the vibration and relaxation of many sound healing tools such as Native American Flutes, Monochords, Crystal and Himalayan Bowls, and more depending on your energetic needs.

3:00 – 5:00 p.m. | Rotating, 50-minute Individual Sessions
5:30 – 6:30 p.m. | Option attendance included for Pranayama & Meditation Class with Joe Simek (includes yoga postures with a focus on breathing and meditation)
