For many of us in the west, chanting sanskrit is the yoga practice we come to last. But we soon learn that it is perhaps the most powerful! From spiritual evolution to calming anxiety, there are many reasons to try chanting.
Each month in the Essential Mantra Series, you’ll learn how to chant a different ancient mantra:
- Mahāmrtyuñjaya Mantra (November 8)
- Vedic Gayatri Savatri Mantra (January 12)
- Upanishadic Verse On Perfection and Wholeness (February 9)
- Upanishadic Verse On Darkness To Light (March 2)
- Guru Mantra with Vibha Mistry (March 30)
- Om Gam Ganapataye Namah with Vibha Mistry (June 1)
In each session, we’ll take a look at multiple English translations of the Sanskrit and then spend our time learning to chant the mantra. These classes are perfect for anyone who is new to the practice of chanting or anyone who wants to expand their mantra knowledge beyond simple one or two syllable mantras. These essential mantras are three or four lines long. Take the step to deepen your yoga practice and register now!
One Thursday Each Month from 7:15-8:00 p.m. | Online or In-Person | Use your regular class credits/package to sign up!
