Perhaps you’ve participated in a yoga class and have recognized the potential yoga can have in helping with your anxiety. You leave class feeling better, but your anxiety returns shortly thereafter. The key to yoga truly helping lies in the practice being tailored to you as an individual, and finding practices you can do on your own. Join Joe Simek, C-IAYT Yoga Therapist, for this practical and useful workshop and find the practices that will help YOU ease your suffering.

Private Session Assessment

The process starts with one-on-one assessment. Included in the fee for this workshop is a 30-minute intake session that will allow for a conversation with Joe so he might better understand your personality, condition, lifestyle, and what does and does not work for you. This will allow Joe to tailor the workshop to the needs of the participants. Once you register, Joe will reach out to schedule your intake in-studio or over Zoom.

In-Studio 3-Hour Workshop

In our time as a group we will discuss a number of philosophies and practices. From these lessons, you’ll leave with a personalized plan you can bring into your life. The workshop will include:

  • Multiple Mini Grounding Techniques
  • 3 Accessible Movement Practices (Not your normal yoga class!)
  • Breathing Techniques Based On Your Dosha Imbalance

Joe Simek is an Internationally Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT 875-Hours), a 500-Hour Level Yoga Teacher, and co-owner of Dragonfly Yoga. He has been practicing yoga for more than a decade, using the wisdom of the teachings to lose weight, get sober, and abandon the corporate grind.

Joe has completed over a thousand hours of yoga training. He studied Yoga Therapy (including 150 clinic hours) and Peaceful Weight Loss Through Yoga at Breathing Deeply Yoga Therapy with Brandt Passalaqua. He also studied Advanced Vinyasa Yoga with Rolf Gates. Since 2017, Joe has been a Yoga Therapy Teaching Assistant at Breathing Deeply, where he is also the lead teacher for their 200-Hour Teacher Training Program.

In 2016, Joe co-founded The Fiaria Project, a non-profit organization that aids foster children. Joe holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Arizona State University.
