Join Dragonfly Yoga Studio owner and experienced yoga teacher, Joe Simek, for a unique practice that blends movement and mindfulness with the immersive art of the Michener Art Museum. In this session, participants will engage with the intricate, meditative works of artist Anila Quayyum Agha, whose art offers inspiration for focus and deeper concentration during mindfulness practice.
Rather than turning inward, this practice encourages heightened awareness of the environment, using Agha’s evocative installations and the subtle sounds of the museum to ground participants in the present moment. Through mindful movement and breathwork—whether by forming yoga shapes or walking meditatively through the gallery—participants will experience a dynamic fusion of body, breath, and art.
Open to all levels of yoga and mindfulness practitioners, this session does not require yoga mats, as the practice will take place standing or seated in chairs. Admission to the museum is included.
*Each class requires separate registration
