Healing the Emotions and Liberating the Body using Yin Yoga and Meditation
Teaching Yin Yoga is a joy beyond words. Explore the science, methodology, and practice of teaching yin yoga and its ancient roots. Yin yoga increases our capacity for awakened emotions of wisdom, compassion, love, contentment, and courage. Learn how yin yoga serves as an appropriate balance for the more yang, vinyasa style classes that are most widely available today.
This 30 hour Yin Yoga Immersion is designed for all levels of yoga students or yoga teachers. The curriculum includes:
2 hour Overview and Introduction to Yin Yoga and Yin vs. Yang Energy and Exercise
Five (90 minute) experiential yin yoga asana practice sessions for each of the 5 primary organ pairs
Five (30 minute) guided meditations for each of the 5 Wisdoms and Fears
Five (3 hour) lecture and discussion sessions on the Yin Yoga Asanas for each organ pair, as well as each organ’s Anatomy, Ayurvedic Energetics & Emotions
Time for question and answer throughout the Course
Minimum of 3 Non-contact hours of homework, including reading and reflecting on your in-class experiences
Please note that the 30 hour Yin Yoga Immersion does not include extensive time for Practice Teaching. Sally Miller is an Ayurvedic Practitioner, Yoga Instructor, and Meditation Coach who skillfully integrates ancient teachings of Enlightenment and Wholeness into an accessible discipline for any modern day seeker. She enjoys living in the quiet countryside of Bucks County, Pennsylania, where she maintains a private practice out of her home in rural Ottsville, PA. Sally travels nationally and internationally speaking on topics of yoga, ayurveda, and meditation, and offers phone consultations to clients all around the world.
