If you think you’re not flexible enough or too stressed out to do yoga, that’s exactly why you should be doing it. Here is the perfect place to start!
This Intro To Yoga Workshop will include two “dharma talks” or lectures about yoga principles, as well as traditional postures and breathing techniques.
In this workshop, you will:
- Gain new confidence to attend any yoga class
- Find your comfort on the mat
- Discover your inner strength
- Learn to bend, not break
- Find stability in your body, find stability in your life
- Leave with an understanding of basic yoga poses
Linda King, Christina Walker, RuthAnn Bryner, and Corrine Miller will be co-teaching the workshop. They are all recent graduates of Dragonfly’s 500 HR Advanced Vinyasa Teacher Training with Rolf Gates, internationally recognized yoga teacher and author of the seminal yoga book, Meditations From The Mat.
The workshop is part of Fostering The Flow: Dragonfly’s Yoga Festival, which is happening June 12 at Buckingham Friends School. All proceeds from the day will go to The Fiaria Project, a Bucks County nonprofit organization that supports local foster families.
The festival will have something for all experience levels, from Introduction to Yoga and Meditation workshops for beginners to Vinyasa workshops for more seasoned yogis. Throughout the day, there will be local vendors and a food truck set up on the lawn.
Rolf Gates who will be offering a Dharma Talk at the end of the evening. Entry to his talk is included when you purchase a workshop pass. Join us!
